The "grandmother" slices are cut by us in large blocks of 17 kg resulting from the saponification in the cauldron.
This is recognized as an 'anti-cramp' soap (thanks to its soda concentration) by placing under the mattress cover. The slice of grandmother is also known as an excellent moth repellent, placing the slice between the laundry or hanging in the cupboard.
